- 1 / 5By Laura SandsThe fish fry is fantastic!! The food is FRESH and HIT and people INVITING. My complaint is the bartender in the main bar who is a miserable human being, or at least that is the way she acts. We never saw a smile or even a courteous response to anyone. I asked if we could start a tab, and "We don't do tabs!" OK I didn't know.... She was singularly unhelpful about choices of beers or anything else. It just made you feel UNWELCOME. It didn't get any better, even though I tried to engage her. Little did she know I've been a waitress and bartender over the years and am the BIGGEST tipper. I finally spoke with another guest and he said no one understands why this girl is here, but that during the day I world get wonderful service... I couldn't help myself and let her have it before I left. ... I gave her a dollar even though she didn't deserve it!!
This is a really bad representation of the VFW...
